Race Flyer & details coming....

...shortly.

Stay tuned.

Looking at 2 waves of races - one starting in the morning (projected to be 9AM) and the other wave in the afternoon (projected to start at 1PM).

Tentative Race Schedule:
0900 Men CAT 4 ---------55 miles (3.5 laps)
0905 Men CAT 5 ---------40 miles (2.5 laps)
0910 Women CAT 3 -----55 miles (3.5 laps)
0915 Women CAT 4 -----40 miles (2.5 laps)
Noon Awards ceremony for morning races
1300 Men CAT 1/2 ------100 miles! (6.5 laps)
1305 Men CAT 3 ----------70 miles (4.5 laps)
1310 Women CAT 1/2 ---70 miles (4.5 laps)
Post race Awards ceremony for afternoon races

In addition to Championship medals and BARR points - the Glenwood RR will be offering a significant prize package of both money and merchandise of at least $2500. More details as the race flyer and sponsor commitments get finalized.

We are planning on utilizing BikeReg.com again this year. Please note that some fields will be restricted (CAT 5 Men & CAT 4 Women are limited by USA Cycling rules to 50 participants); and may fill quickly. All other categories will be limited by the race committee (as will be published on BikeReg.com). If you want to ensure your participation in this WA State Championship race plan accordingly. I will provide a link, so when you see the BikeReg logo appear on this site you will be able to start online pre-registration - estimated to be March 1st.

Like last year - I think Kitsap County will require inclusion on the USA Cycling racer release. So for those of you that like to have things filled out ahead of time to streamline your time at day-of-race registration I will have that provided as a link when finalized. Otherwise forms will be available at registration day-of-race.

Out of state racers are always welcome, you will not be eligible for WA State Championship medals; but will be eligible for your share of the prize package based on your actual order of finish.

2009 course

The race starts at the Sidney Glen Elementary School & has a 2-mile lead in (some or most of which will be neutral) to the start of a 15+ mile loop.

The remainder of the course is a 7 turn loop that is mostly rolling with good to great surfaces, a few short steep pitches, with the finish line on Minterbrook at the intersection with Westbrook up G Spot Hill (200 meters at an average 14% grade).

Feed Zone is located on a straight slightly uphill stretch on JM Dickensen (with a wide shoulder for hand ups).
